I knew that all it takes to make a small inline sprints event, will be to create a Facebook event and some publish on the local skating forum, and so i did.
It wasn't the biggest event ever, but 14 skaters are still better than nothing :)
We went to a local parking space in Tel-Aviv, and we set a 200m track (marked with counes).
We ordered medals for the 1-2-3 places on each sprint, and we decided to have 300m,500m and 1000m.
My PR (Personal record) on 300m is around the 29sec and this time I lost a lot of sec on this curve.
I finished 1st in the rank with 34sec, Followed by Ofer with 34.9 sec.
On the 500m it went better, I already knew how to deal with this turn better, I finished 1st with 55 sec, which is 32.7272 kmh of avg speed, it's quite nice for a bad track like this.
For the finish, we did a 1K race, and I finished with 1:49 (m:ss) which is 33.0275 kmh avg speed, this data says that the more I skate the faster I go.....That's not new for an outdoor skater like me, I only know to skate long distances and the more I go, the fast I am....my 1k is much more better than the 500 or the 300....

Getting ready |
We started at 17:00 with a little warm up (It's really hot in Israel at August, so to go early was impossiable)
Most of the guys were fitness skaters, but I still belive this is a great exprience for everyone, doesn't really matter if you are a speedskater or a fitness one.
We started with the 300m, it was a hard one since we did the curve of the track really short so in high speed your grip was going low and you had a feeling of sliping.....I did say it's our 1st time, no ? :)

Going for 500m |
In general I had a lot of fun on this, even tho it wasn't pro's event....Still fun.
I got few more days left in Israel before Ice season will open and the big test will arrive :)
